About The City Wine Show

After our first sell-out show last year, we are proud to announce that The City Wine Show is back at Stationers Hall on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th April 2018.

  City Wine ShowLooking for the finest Pinot Noirs on the market? Want to discover exciting new wine trends? Or simply want to understand the difference between Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc?  

The City Wine Show will give you the opportunity to chat with producers from around the world.  

A Discovery Zone manned by our team of wine experts will guide you through hundreds of award-winning wines from the drinks business’ Global Masters competitions.  

A range of exciting free Masterclasses will be available to discover some of wine’s best kept secrets.  

A limited number of Prestige Masterclasses will also be available to VIP ticket holders to show you the finest wines on the market.  

The City Wine Show will take place on Friday 13th April from 1pm to 9pm and from 1pm to 8pm on Saturday 14th.

Masterclasses

Friday 13 April

  • Free Masterclass - 3:30pm: Pink and premium - a look at the world’s greatest rosés, from the mouth-watering sparklings of Champagne to the top still wines of Provence.
  • Free Masterclass - 5pm: Champagne Pol Roger Masterclass - discover the range of Sir Winston Churchill's favourite house.
  • VIP 6:30pm: iDealwine's Tour de France of Fine Wines - unlock the secrets of France's most prestigious appellations. This masterclass is only available to VIP ticket holders.
 

Saturday 14 April

  • Free Masterclass - 2pm: Orin Swift Masterclass – Meet the wines of a modern Californian Icon and discover the amazing story behind Dave Phinney and his renowned winery.
  • VIP Masterclass - 3:30pm: Champagne: the best of the best. A chance to taste the highest-scoring samples from the world’s preeminent sparkling wine region. Taking in styles from rosé to blanc de blancs, extra brut to demi-sec, this is a unique chance to try the best bubbles from the annual Champagne Masters – the only blind tasting competition dedicated to Champagne. This masterclass is only available to VIP ticket holders.
  • Free Masterclass - 5pm: Pink and premium - a look at the world’s greatest rosés, from the mouth-watering sparklings of Champagne to the top still wines of Provence.
 

All of our Free Masterclasses are free to attend but subject to availability.

Entry to VIP masterclasses is guaranteed with a VIP ticket. It is not possible to reserve masterclasses in advance. Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis on the day. Ensure you arrive 5-10 minutes before the start time.

Friday 22nd September
    • 4:00pm – Pinot Noir: Around the world in 6 wines Presented by Patrick Schmitt MW An introduction to one of the wine world’s most celebrated, sought-after and yet frustrating grapes.
 
    • 5:15pm – Giusti Prosecco Presented by Riki Hutchinson Why the UK fell in love with Prosecco and what amazing sparkling wines await us to be discovered from Italy.
 
    • 6:30pm – Pol Roger Presented by James Simpson MW Join Champagne Pol roger for a tasting of six wines from Sir Winston Churchill’s favourite house, including three vintages.
 
  • 7:45pm – Casa Silva Pioneering Cool Climates and uncovering Carmenere in the Colchagua Valley, Chile - Five Generations of the Silva Family Adventure.
Saturday 23rd September
    • 2:00pm – Casa Silva Pioneering Cool Climates and uncovering Carmenere in the Colchagua Valley, Chile - Five Generations of the Silva Family Adventure.
 
    • 3:30pm – Piper Heidsieck Presented by Simon Stockton A tutored tasting and journey into the history and style of this iconic Grand Marque Champagne House.
 
    • 5:00pm – iDealwine: “Tour de France” of wines Presented by Arthur de Lencquesaing and Patrick Schmitt MW Discover the diversity of French wines with a classic selection from iDealwine’s online auctions and fixed-price sales.
